The history of Normrahmen

2016

Foundation

In spring 2016, Simon Nufer founds Normrahmen AG. The initial product range consists of counter plates, cover plates with cut-outs and tubes with openings. Soon afterwards, we develop our own products for the first time and have our first aluminium profiles certified.

2017

Transporter

We buy our first transporter including trailer. At the same time, we start selling our new 6-metre profiles and introduce our modern ERP system. To further increase our service quality, we open an additional warehouse location in Laupen. Last but not least, we are delighted to launch sales of our products in western Switzerland.

Product development

We start to develop and produce screws and standardised parts. This opens up new possibilities for us: We expand our warehouses in Laupen and Flamatt, add cable ducts to our range, set up our own labelling department and acquire a laser and a plotter.

Product expansion

Our product range is growing: we start selling consumables and electrical engineering. We also take over the representation of the ETI brand. We also expand our warehouse in Flamatt and develop a trailer specifically for transporting profiles.

Webshop

Our webshop goes online and we launch our own scanning app. We sell flush-mounted/AP enclosures and expand our range of sub-distribution boards. We move into new office premises and expand our warehouse space in Flamatt.

Shipping box

We introduce the Normrahmen dispatch box, automate order processing and build a showroom. At the same time, we develop building site power distributors and expand our range to include cables and stranded wires.

Electrical engineering

We are greatly expanding our product range in the electrical engineering sector - over 1000 new products are being introduced. The range of stranded wires is also being expanded. We are expanding our bright office space for our new team members.

Exclusive sales partner EFEN

We take over the exclusive distribution of EFEN products in Switzerland. Shortly afterwards we start with wall-mounted enclosures from IDE. We open our third warehouse location for this purpose. The building application for our new location in Düdingen is submitted.

Ground-breaking ceremony for new home

The high-quality concrete and timber building with 5 floors is 21 metres high and has a floor area of 1400m2. We are already looking forward to the roof terrace with boules court and pizza oven, modern workplaces and new logistics systems. The move will take place at the end of 2025.

Construction of the new site in Düdingen will soon begin. Normrahmen is taking the opportunity to implement modern logistics solutions and processes in the new building. In addition, in-house development and the product range are greatly expanded.
